House ReBuild

House has extensive wood rot and decay in Floor joists, rafters, roof decking.  Walls are separated from ceiling and floor has dropped as much as 11 inches in places.  Owner is a recent widow and has a special needs soon.  She works 3 part time jobs (all that is available in the area) trying to support her family.  There is a need for someone to accept this project and help this family get into a safe, healthy environment whether it be rebuilding this house or helping to find another location.  Contact houserebuild@arministry.org if you would like to help.

Urgent Need for Prayer/Funding - New Hope Southern Baptist Fellowship in Madison, WV

Click here for video of this need...   added 9/30/11

For the past 5 years, New Hope Southern BaptistNewHopeBC Photo2 Fellowship, a new church start in Madison, WV has been meeting in a rented storefront building.  The pastor and church planter, John Harden is bi-vocational, working as an electrician in the local coalmines.  The building were they are they are currently meeting is being sold and they need to find other accommodations or purchase the existing property, which has limited parking.

NewHope BC Photo1Just down the street are two adjacent buildings and a paved parking lot with 22 parking spaces that are available to New Hope for $45,000.  Until September 1, one of the buildings was occupied by a Pentecostal church that closed.  Since the property is valued at a much higher price, this price is available to New Hope only and for a limited time.  Please pray with us that God will provide the needed funding.  The current membership has very limited resources.  Funds as needed to help them make a sizeable down payment and/or to purchase the property.  Boone County is 91.1% unchurched/no-evangelical.  The poverty level is close to 25%.  Madison is the county seat and the new property is in sight of the county court house.  Your prayers and support are needed for this critical work.  For more information, please contact
arm@arministry.org.

Urgent Need - Added Sept. 19, 2011
Ocoee Outreach & Bradley Baptist Association - Bradly County, TN

On April 27, 2011 six tornados struck Bradley County destroying 500 homes and causing damages to more than 1,000 home. The ministry opportunities to those who have suffered and continue to suffer are many. We are now in the rebuild process and are looking for skilled rebuild teams to come to Cleveland between this September and into the spring for however long you are able to come. We are looking for teams that can bring some skilled volunteers in construction and have a heart for sharing Christ with others. We will take care of food expenses, construction materials and place you in one of our local churches for lodging (bring your own bedding). All you will need to do is take care of the costs of getting here and back home. Join us in sharing Christ with others and rebuilding homes that were destroyed or heavily damaged by the tornados. Please note… this will not be the same kind of structure we do with Ocoee Outreach during the summer.

Contact us soon if you can mobilize a team for rebuild.
