Appalachian
Outreach Home Repair Ministry receives church mission groups the
first week of June through the first week of August. These
groups begin with an Orientation on Sunday night and work Monday
through Thursday. They repair poverty level homes in a five
county area surrounding Jefferson City, Tenn.
We also have a homeless shelter that AO operates called
Samaritan House. The home is for families and single women,
who stay up to 45 days while receiving Christian council, social
services and assistance in finding a place to live.
AO operates the Appalachian Outreach Ministry Center (which
includes home repair, used clothing, used furniture, food
distribution, Hispanic ministry and computer training center).
